(|Vadris III|)
The natives of this planet think they are the only intelligent life in the universe. (DS9: Q-Less)

Contributed by: Clare Bradley

(|Valakis|)
City on the planet Valakis.Valakis is the home world of the Valakians and the Menk. Valakis is M-Class. The two species of humanoids evolved on Valakis. The Menk are not as evolved as the Valakians. However, the Valakians are becoming extinct, while the Menk are in the process of an evolutionary awakening, with increasing intellectual abilities. (ENT: Dear Doctor)

Valakis is located in the Beta Quadrant. (Star Trek: Star Charts by Geoffrey Mandel)

(|Vega Colony|)
The U.S.S. Enterprise was headed to the Vega Colony to take care of their injured and sick, when they received a distress call from the S.S. Columbia. (TOS: The Menagerie) This human colony existed as far back as the mid 22nd century. In an alternate timeline, Vega Colony was destroyed by the Xindi after they destroyed Earth. (ENT: Twilight)

(|Velos VII|)

(|Vendikar|)
Vendikar is the third planet in the same system as Eminiar VII, in Star Cluster NGC 321. Vendikar was originally settled by Eminiar VII, but they are now ruthless enemies. Vendikar is highly advanced technologically. Vendikar supposedly used fusion bombs that were materialized over the targets. In reality, they fight their war with computers, totally. Casualties have 24 hours to report to the disintegration machines. An attack is mathematically launched. This way, although people die, the culture lives. Captain Kirk destroyed the computers in the Eminiar war room. They were all tied in with a subspace transmission unit that keeps them in constant contact with their Vendikan counterparts. The moment contact was broken it abrogated the agreement between the two warring parties. Ambassador Fox offered his services as negotiator between Eminiar VII and Vendikar. The outlook of the negotiations was hopeful. Vendikar was governed by a High Council. (TOS: A Taste of Armageddon)

(|Verex III|)
Verex III is used as a processing station for Orion slaves. In 2154, nine Enterprise crewmembers were captured by the Orions and taken to Verex III for processing as slaves. Processing centers are heavily guarded. Only legitimate traders are allowed to enter. (ENT: Borderland)

(|Vico V|)
Inhabited planet that is known for having the wildest sky in the Alpha Quadrant. (VOY: Good Shepherd)

(|Vissia|)
Homeworld of the Vissians. The Didiron Mountain Range runs through the upper plains of the Great Continent. The flora and fauna vary greatly on either side of the central plateau. (ENT: Cogenitor)

(|Volon II|)
A Maquis Colony (DS9: The Maquis, Part I) (note: In The Maquis Parts I & II, Sisko visits a Maquis Colony on Volon II. He later visits the same colony, but calls it Volon III. Either the same visual effect was used for both colonies, or there was a mistake in the name.)

(|Volon III|)
A Maquis Colony. This colony is located on the Cardassian side of the Demilitarized Zone. (DS9: The Maquis, Part I; Tribunal) (note: In The Maquis Parts I & II, Sisko visits a Maquis Colony on Volon II. He later visits the same colony, but calls it Volon III. Either the same visual effect was used for both colonies, or there was a mistake in the name.)

(|Vulcan|)
Home world of the Vulcans. Vulcan's atmosphere is thinner than Earth's. Vulcan is also hotter than Earth. (TOS: Amok Time) Vulcan has no moon. (TOS: The Man Trap) Vulcan is a member of the Federation. (TOS: Errand of Mercy) Vulcan is 16 light-years from Earth. (ENT: Home)

The Forge is a desert on Vulcan. The Forge is called so for a reason. It will test you and destroy you. The Forge has electrical sandstorms and geomagnetic instability so bad that most technology won't work there. Communicators, scanners, and phase pistols won't work there. You can't transport into it either. The field that prevents technology form working in the Forge only extends a few hundred meters above ground. Patrol craft can fly over it, but their sensors couldn't see the Syrrannites. Syrrannites seeking enlightenment follow the same route into the Forge that Surak supposedly followed 1000 years ago. Gateway is the site where Surak supposedly began his journey into the Forge. The Plain of Blood is a region in the Forge. Some say Surak crossed the plain when the hot blood of battle still flowed green, but with logic, he cooled it. The T'Karath Sanctuary is located in the Forge. The Syrranites hid from the Vulcan High Command at the Sanctuary in 2154. Sandfire storms are electrical sandstorms that occur in the Forge. The electrical charges can reach inside caves. The storms can last a day or two. (ENT: The Forge) The electrical charges produced by sandfire storms are called sand lightning. Errors in the sensor net over the planet Vulcan occur frequently near the Forge. The T'Karath Sanctuary is near the northeastern border of the forge. V'Las bombarded the T'Karath Sanctuary with photonic weapons in 2154 in order to wipe out the Syrranites. He also sent in ground troops to make certain no Syrranites survived. The geomagnetic anomalies in the Forge made a precision attack impossible. (ENT: Awakening) There are gallicite deposits in the Forge. These deposits give off an electrical charge when anything metallic comes in proximity to them. (ENT: Kir'Shara)

There is a sensor net over the planet Vulcan, created by satellites in orbit. In an attempt to help the Enterprise NX-01 retrieve Captain Archer from the Forge, Soval planned to trigger an error in one satellites imaging node. It would take 6 minutes for the central processor to correct the error. Errors occur frequently near the Forge. (ENT: Awakening)

Mount Seleya is a mountain on the planet Vulcan. The story of the IDIC begins on Mount Seleya. Surak died on Mount Seleya but his katra was spirited away before the last battle against those who marched beneath the Raptor's Wings, who wanted to return to the savage ways. (ENT: The Forge) T'Pol went to Mount Seleya to meditate alone following her marriage to Koss. (ENT: Borderland)

Mount Tar'hana is a volcano that is located on the planet Vulcan. It erupts frequently. (ENT: Home)

Forty-three people died, including 12 Vulcans in 2154 when Earth's Embassy on Vulcan was bombed. The Earth Embassy on Vulcan is considered to be on Earth soil. (ENT: The Forge)

Gol is an ancient Vulcan city. Nirak was a soldier who stood watch over the gates of the city of Gol before the Time of Awakening. Nirak saw a cloud on the horizon moving toward the city. He thought it was a sandstorm, so he told no one, but it was an army. They destroyed the city, but they let Nirak live. (ENT: Kir'Shara)

ta'Valsh is a Vulcan town that has a port facility. (ST #35: The Romulan Way by Diane Duane and Peter Morwood)
