The USS Valkyrie has travelled to the planet, so that Drs. Ambria and Mackenzie can use Paul Miller and the sophisticated planetside Medical facility to save Martin's life. Jamie, Martin's boyfriend, who recently graduated from Starfleet Academy has travelled to be at the bedside of his beloved. Also at the medical facility, former Captain Rylie Tir recovers from a mission gone bad. Meanwhile, the rest of the crew is either occupied with repairs to the heavily damaged USS Valkyrie, or are enjoying well-deserved shore leave.   π
